OUR STORY

Helping people love their dogs with leadership in a way they understand and making them part of our DTC USA pack!

We are passionate about what we do

After serving in the U.S. Army from 2012–2017 as a Military Police dog handler, Melaney discovered how valuable a dog can be as a loyal companion. Because of this experience, she became passionate about helping families enjoy the same level of connection with their dogs.

After leaving the Army, Melaney started her own dog training company—and never looked back.

As demand grew, it became clear that families needed practical dog training that fit into their busy lives. As a result, Melaney expanded her team.

In 2018, she met Cory through her dog, Harvey. They quickly became friends and later business partners.

Melaney brings extensive experience working with dogs in explosives and narcotics detection. She has also trained in handling aggression and supported other handlers deploying with working dogs.

Meanwhile, Cory has a background as a special education teacher. She specializes in behavior modification and communication. In addition, she worked with therapy dogs in her classroom.

Together, their combined experience makes them uniquely qualified to help families live in harmony with their dogs.

Leadership Based Training

Teaching dogs to live in a human world requires structure, consistency, and clear expectations. That’s why we focus on routines, rules, and boundaries.

Dogs thrive on routine. When they understand what’s expected, they make fewer decisions on their own. As a result, they feel more relaxed and confident.

When dogs look to us for direction, they begin to trust our leadership. Because of this, they feel safe and secure. Our calm and confident energy helps them become calm and confident too.

By understanding your dog’s unique personality and leading with consistency, you create a relationship built on trust and respect.

Discover what we do and what makes us different

We do not use shock collars, clickers, or treats. Instead, our dog training is based on leadership and trust—not fear or bribery.

Dogs are rewarded for calm behavior with love, affection, and activities they enjoy. As a result, they develop lasting habits and a stronger connection with their owners.
